The Omnipresent Michael Smith - Master of Space, Time and Dimension
The Omnipresent Michael Smith - Master of Space, Time and Dimension
Who Is This Guy?
Born in Cleveland, Ohio; raised everywhere!  A graduate of H.B. Plant High School in Tampa, Florida.  I also possess a degree in theatre from the University of Maryland that I have yet to make a living with. I earn my money creating promotions for major motion pictures (and some minor ones).  I have been recognized nationally for work on films like "Hunt For Red October," "Rocky V," "Mission: Impossible," "Star Trek: First Contact" and "Titanic."  I currently live in Leavenworth, Kansas and am the father of a 17 year old baseball phenom named Phillip!  A tip o' the hat to old pal Rick Sousa who, more then 20 years ago, wrote "Omnipresent" before my name on a nametag at a local con  and "Master of Space, Time and Dimension" after it. That's me on the left in the photo above.  My friend Ben is on the right and in the center is Kevin Smith, writer/director of "Clerks," "Chasing Amy," "Mallrats" and "Dogma."  The photo was taken in Kev's comic book/collectable store "Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash" in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Where To Find Me
I bought this computer in 1996 with the intent of learning all about it.  Unfortunately, I discovered America On Line at the same time and can barely print a letter without assistance!  You can currently find me every Wednesday evening from 11pm and 1am Eastern Standard Time hosting the Major League Baseball Chat Room for CBS Sportsline.  I am also represented by my weekly rants and observations on my friend Nolan B. Canova's web page which can be accessed at the link below.  When you get to Nolan's page, just click on "Nolan's Newstand" and there I will be.  Please take the time to view the whole area.  Nolan has been my friend for more then 20 years, and in that time I've learned that everything he does is always worth a look or a listen.  I will also include links for the "Jaws" home page, Dr Demento, Ellen's Roy Scheider Page and my friend Diane's Home Page.  I would have to put Diane even above myself as to her appreciation of Roy Scheider.  She and her husband own an extensive collection of costumes from Roy's television series "SeaQuest DSV"  She also possesses the shirt Roy wore in "Jaws," complete with Amity PD Badge.  She took this photo of Roy playing softball during her annual trip to Long Island. Roy is wearing what I hope will one day be MY WATCH.  With the exception of "Blue Thunder," where the watch is key to the story, I believe Roy has worn this watch in each of his movies, including, of course, JAWS, where it is quite visible.  Boy, if that watch could talk, the stories it could tell!  Several years ago, when I was running Roy's official fan club, I asked him if I could have his watch when he decided to get rid of it.  I hope he remembers me!

Oh Baby, You Know What I Like!
My two major vices are movies and baseball.  I enjoy watching and collecting memorabilia on both.  My prize possessions include almost everything on the movie "Jaws" (tho it seems like everyday I find something on Ebay that I never knew existed) and an autographed authentic Cal Ripken, Jr. jersey.  I enjoy playing the game as well.  My son, Phillip, is a senior in high school and is the starting left fielder for his school team.  That's him below, waiting on the pitch.  This past summer I left the safety of the stands and helped coach his American Legion team to the Zone Championship.  We lost the state tourney, but there's always next year!
