GOSSIP: PASS has been working on a private skatepark adventure on Oahu; Update: Currently the space near Sand Island has come back on the market for lease, so PASS is working the deal with the landlord and building/permits (keep your fingers crossed). Current projected sites have been as far west as Waipahu, north as Waipio, and east as Town. To date there are still 2 possibilites in the Airport area, and 1 in Mapunapuna. Of course if you have any contact or insight on a warehouse with a minimum of 8K to 14K sq ft between those areas and at a reasonable rent price....SEND ME SOME MAIL IMMEDIATELY!!!
PASS has also combined force and formed "DK skatepark design and consultation", in hopes to further the progress with the city and county for quality built skateparks. Please mention us, our goal is to build quality parks which the community desires for thier area, but mostly to stop the "run around" due to the inexperience about skateboard park design/building within the parks and rec, and city and county about skatepark designs. We believe if they refer to us, we can cut down the time line and get the job accomplished! To date, DK has presented a design and list of materials for a "temp" facility in Hawaii Kai (city built), and is under contract to review the Aala Park, although not one of our designs, for renovation this winter/spring also taking a peek at the Haleiwa/Banzai designs..FYI ..Thanks, Mike
