Some Southern Rich Families
 **HELLO....WELCOME TO MY PAGE**

My Rich Ancestors Came from Germany &  settled in Orange Co, N.C.   I want to thank Liz YOST for sharing information on the first two generations. Without her help with Thomas RICH, i may have been unable to obtain some of his life story.   I have sat in libraries & court houses for countless hours, surfed the internet for "days", & recorded conversations i've had with relatives, to come as far as i have with my RICH family.

Laney L. RICH
at his gr grandfather, James M. RICH's grave. James was buried on a deer trail in St. Clair Co,AL, near the Shelby Co. line. Supposedly, this was his favorite place to hunt on the land he owned & he requested that he be buried there. This photo was made in the 1970's before the land was cleared. A hunting club now leases the land.
Patricia Sue RICH WEAVER
At Philopena N. SHARP RICH's grave in Franklin Co,TN. She was the first wife of Jacob RICH & mother of Wm. RICH. She was b. 8 Aug. 1765 & d. 2 Aug 1808. She is buried near Bean's Creek (Old Salem near Huntland) where a number of graves are located. We visited the cemetery on 27 Dec 1995. It was very cold (ice was on the ground) & we had to walk across a cotton field to get to the graves, then find her stone.
