Dear Birthmother,
Hi, our names are Patti and Ronnie, and we hope you take a few moments to read about us and get to know what kind of parents we would be if we had the opportunity to be blessed with a child through adoption.
Ronnie and I met in high school and were friends for many years before we began dating. We dated for seven years and then we married. In the years since we married, our relationship has remained strong and we spend most of our free time together doing things that we both enjoy.
Family has always been very important to both of us. We both come from very close immediate and extended families. Both my parents and Ronnie’s have been married for over 40 years and we both are very close to our siblings. Both of Patti's sisters have young children that live only minutes away. Every summer, my whole family, from my Grandmother down to my two- month old niece, all go away to the beach for our annual summer getaway. No one has ever missed a year and we spend time together having fun at the shore and enjoying each other’s company. Both of our families are loving and supportive and very excited about our decision to adopt. We love spending time with our nephews and nieces and our friends children.
Ronnie and I own our home, which we custom built and is located in a beautiful town in upstate New York. Our home is in a suburban neighborhood with many children of all ages. Ronnie’s family founded a private school that has been in the area for over thirty years. The school is still family run and has a large swimming pool, outdoor playground and many wonderful opportunities for children.
Ronnie and I are both active and enjoy traveling and spending time on our boat. Ronnie is an avid golfer and enjoys motorcross riding with the kids in the neighborhood on the trails behind our house. Ronnie is also a coach for our nephew’s basketball team in the fall.
Ronnie spent his first years after high school living in Florida and going to college. He returned home to New York five years later where he and his dad started their own company, which is thriving. Patti is an officer at a local bank where she has worked for 15 years. She is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in child development and hopes to become a teacher or child counselor. Patti is looking forward to the day when she can be a full-time stay at home mom!
At this time in our lives we have almost everything we need but the most important part is missing….a family of our own. Can you help us complete our family by helping you through this difficult time? We know how important and difficult this decision must be and we hope that by reading about us you will feel comfortable enough to call us and talk about it. We appreciate your taking time to read our letter and wish you peace with your decision.
Best Wishes,
Patti and Ronnie
