HI EVERYONE,
HAPPY SRING..LOVE THIS WEATHER. I JUST GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL LAST WEEK WITH PNEMONIA AGAIN. BUT THIS TIME I GOT A YEAST INFECTION, AND STILL HAVE TO STAY IN. I LOST A FEW POUNDS, WHICH I CAN SPARE, BUT I CAN'T GET DEHYDRATED AGAIN. I'M SUPPOSED TO GO AWAY TO ARUBA NEXT FRIDAY WITH MY MOM, AUNT AND UNCLE, AND COUSINS. I'M SOOO EXCITED. I'LL POST SOME PICTURES WHEN I GET BACK. I'M GONNA TRY TO HELP MY MOM PUT SOME NEW PICTURES OF MY NIECE BELLA ON THE SIGHT. BE GOOD. KEEP IN TOUCH.

My Personal Profile
I'm 36 years old, and have Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome.I live in Bayville,N.Y, and have a younger sister Amy, who got married in august 2005 to donny o'wade. They live in Winchester, Virginia, where donny is in real estate.
She graduated from Towson University and is now a 4th grade teacher,in Winchester.. I am very proud of her. She also knows sign language. I don't know how she does it! She wants us to move closer to her, because she misses her family. She wrote me a letter thats on my websight, that's about how it is living with a person with Lesch-Nyhan. it's real good..check it out! I want more people to know about me and what it's been like being disabled and living with Lesch-Nyhan. Please remember to come back and check my updates, every so often. MY NEW FRIENDS WITH LND
I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH 5 FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN WITH LND. FROM ITALY, SWEDEN, ENGLAND, SWITZERLAND AND SCOTLAND. I LIKE HEARING FROM THEM AND WHAT THEY'RE GOING THROUGH AT THE TIME. I AM ASKED FOR ADVICE,SOMETIMES, WHICH I GIVE GLADLY. I HOPE I CAN HELP, BECAUSE I HAVE GONE THERE MYSELF, MANY TIMES. I'M SURE TO HEAR FROM MORE AROUND THE WORLD, AND SOMEDAY, HOPE WE CAN MEET IN PERSON. I finally got to meet him and his friend Carla in New York. he was on a us tour in tenn and altanta, and wanted to meet me. he is sooooo nice, and have heard from several of his music friends, and from carla's too. she's in a group called thebouffants.com check them out. I gave Andrea a picture of me, and he was so thrilled and happy, that he cried. he's coming back to new york early this year to record another cd, and i'm going to hook up with him again.

Living with Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome : This is really hard to explain. It's hard enough not being able to do things I see other people do: like walk, run, sit up and take care of myself, but on top of that, I have these weird behaviors that I can't control. I am in much better control when I am occupied, most of the time.
I HAVE JUST STARTED ANOTHER PROGRAM WHERE I STAY HOME AND HAVE RESTHAB WORKERS COME TO ME. WE GO SHOPPING, TO THE MOVIES, CONCERTS, AND WILL BE SOON BE DROPPING INTO SOME NEAR-BY FIRE COMPANIES. ALSO WHEN I GET ON THE SPEAKERS COMMITTEE, I WILL BE GOING TO COLLEGES TO TALK ABOUT MY LND. MY LAST 2 DAY PROGRAMS DIDN'T WORK OUT AND I WAS VERY BORED AND GOT SICK ALOT MORE.
