PFLAG-Muskogee
is a local chapter of the national organization
Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
PFLAG/Muskogee will hold its quarterly meeting on Monday, March 24th from 6-7:30pm at Grace Episcopal Church located at 218 North 6th Street (park on the north side of the church and enter through the north doors). We will discuss Rep. Sally Kerns recent comments, current political candidates, the Chili Cookoff and membership recruitment. There is no cost to attend the meetings and refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Joyce Rock at 918-683-7760 or via email at joyce_rock@hotmail.com
There is never a cost to attend our meetings and refreshments are provided. We welcome all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, interested parents, families, and friends in the greater Muskogee area. We are a recognized 501(c)3 organization and an official chapter of the National PFLAG organization ( http://community.pflag.org/ )
Our programs are geared toward either Education/Advocacy or Social/PFLAG 101 Support. Most of our attendees identify as glbt rather than as parents or friends so we are a great place to connect with local glbt individuals and couples.

Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, their families and
friends through:
-- support, to cope with an adverse society
-- education, to enlighten an ill-informed public
-- advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.
Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
