Life's an Adventure...
I am not Native American. Though many of my parents teachings are in accordance to Native American beliefs, I was raised as a Catholic. I was not raised to have religious beliefs but to have spiritual beliefs. I believe in my heart there is a vast difference between the two.
I live life with my eyes wide open and accept people for who they are not what they are. If there is humor to be found I will find it. I also have an unquenchable desire to learn, right along with my unwavering ability to find the positive side of any given situation.
My ancestry is Portuguese on my father's side and Irish, Scot and Canadian on my mother's side. I was born and raised in Newport, RI. a beautiful town I miss dearly.
I am on an unending ancestral search most of them from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Canada, Ireland, Scotland and the Azores. Lawrence/Lourenco, da Silveira, Calder, Baker/Boulanger, O'Neill.

She lived her life with passion. She fought Ovarian cancer with the same passion, with an inner strength no one could deny...

My sister
There's a saying I was sent a while back that describes her the way she lived her life.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--Wow--What a ride!"
Ovarian cancer took her from us much too soon.
