 by Julia Quinn

 Quick, fast-paced, and compelling. , July 18, 2006

Ms Quinn hits the target and again creates another page turner. Excellent story, excellent read, believable characters and you just can't put it down. The Bridgerton series will be one to remember. With imagination and unique style she gives you Hyacinth Bridgerton and her tale, adding charm and intrigue to a character you will not likely forget any time soon. Clear your schedule for this book, plan a quickie dinner and enjoy!

To Sir Phillip, With Love
by Julia Quinn

You can't put it down, July 17, 2006

Eloise loves to correspond with everyone and anyone she can. Her adventure starts with a condolence letter sent to Sir Phillip Crane upon the death of his wife, her distant cousin. Alas, the heroine is faced with a cantankerous gentlemen and unpredictable twins when she unexpectedly arrives on his doorstep.

Ms. Quinn keeps the reader going from page one until the very end. A storyteller in its truest form. Before I knew it, I was closing the book, wanting more. More, she has giving us with the Bridgerton series. Pick an adjective, any adjective and you will describe this excellent story. I can't wait, sitting on my bedside table, another Bridgerton story just waiting for me to read--It's in His Kiss.

Her Master and Commander
by Karen Hawkins

Delightful, July 5, 2006

Delightful and Delicious
The ingredients of a bestseller consists of one author extraordinaire, originality, imagination, wit, humor, romance, unexpected twists, and the power to captivate, mixed in with a few spices and you have a novel written by Karen Hawkins.
The sea is a pirate's mistress and when a pirate/turned war hero is anchored to the land, he does not make a very happy man. Enter Reeves who must now take this uncivilized being and create a new and improved Earl of Rochester. Impossible you say? Not if you have the enchanting Prudence Thistlewaite as your tutor...or can she tame the wild and simply irresistible captain? Enjoy!

The Penwyth Curse
by Catherine Coulter

Reviewer: Pamela Ackerson (author Home of the Braves trilogy)

Now this is more like it. This book is what I expect from Catherine Coulter. The Penwyth Curse is, in my humble opinion, one of her best. It is a book you can grab on to and not let go until it is finished. This is a medieval, historical, double romance, time-travel, mystery and intrigue type book. It is great. It is chock full of everything and worth every turn of the page. Ms Coulter delivers!

The Sherbrooke Twins
 by Catherine Coulter

I never thought I would see the day when I read a book by Catherine Coulter and was disappointed. The first 20 or so pages was great and then the book draaaaaaagggged. I almost didn't bother to finish reading it. In my head I kept thinking, this is Catherine Coulter it has to get better than this. So I read on and fought my way through the center of the book and zing! About three-quarters of the way through the book, There she was! I knew Ms. Coulter would show her head and writing expertise! The last quarter of the book, woohoo. That's what I was expecting. A great read. Was it worth reading through the slow part of the book? Yeup.

Dimensions Beyond The Known
 by John Macklin

A good read, August 9, 2006

I love books like this. Books where strange and other dimension phenomena happen right here on Earth. The back cover makes it out to be scary. Either nothing scares me anymore (which I doubt very much) or they sensationalized the book. It, in my humble opinion, is not scary. It is a sensational read with incredible, bizarre stories of unusual encounters. A good read.

Night Cries
by Barbara A. Steiner

A suspense chock full of drama for the young adult. A quick read and good story wrapped into an excellent page turner. In a way it reminded me of the movie Ten Little Indians and even mentions it in the book. But it is it's own story and worth every moment you spend reading it. Enjoy.
