Ice Cream for the Soul
Connect with your spirit!
Life is difficult; but who said we have to take it so seriously? Most of us associate chicken soup with being sick or in need of comfort. Ice cream, on the other hand, is something we link with celebration and joy. Most of us eat ice cream any time, any place, for any reason -- or no reason at all!
I just wrote a book that is a collection of playful and light-hearted activities and relaxation approaches designed to help you find and nurture your spirit. It's called "Ice Cream for the Soul" and it includes over 100 ways to bring more joy into your life. This book also includes an easy-to-understand primer on mind-body medicine, an introduction to a variety of ancient health practices, and an overview of Myers-Briggs® personality type. There are instructions on how to use the activities in this book for the most fun or the greatest health benefit according to each Myers-Briggs® type. Doing the activities in this book will help you manage stress, and bring more joy into your life, even if you don't use the type specific suggestions.
Although maximal health benefit comes from doing these activities by yourself, many of the activities make little mess, can be done in a classroom or conference room, and are easily modified and well-suited for use by families and groups. Share the joy and use these ideas at your next conference, in your classroom, and as part of your 12-step and spiritual fellowship groups!
