'Ello. My name is Jo, and this page is about me. I'm 30 years old, and a big fan of Poison, Def Leppard, and Skid Row, just to name a few. I have 3 pets. One dog, and two cats, and I'm currently going back to college for Elementary Education with a concentration in English.

I first heard Poison in 1986, when their album, "Look What The Cat Dragged In", first came out. I admit, I had a hard time getting past their looks at first, but it grew on me. :-) The music is what I was interested in. It's that type of party music that just makes you feel good.

I know I haven't kept up with the band for a while, so there are things out there that I don't know, but I know that I will catch up soon. LOL

For the past year, I have been dealing with some health problems of my own. Mainly, with my blood glucose levels. Granted, I'm in the normal range, but I'm still showing all the classic symptoms for Diabetes. I've read Bret's interviews, and stuff about Diabetes, and I must say, that if it wasn't for him (even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him or the group), and my close friends, I wouldn't have done anything about my problem. Now, I'm not diagnosed.......yet, because of doctors who refuse to do so, but after reading that stuff, and listening to loved ones, I have come to realize that I've got to take care of myself, until my doctor decides to.

I test my levels, at the most, about 7 times a day. Depending on how I'm feeling. I'm watching what I eat (or trying to, lol), and exercising, and it's been some relief, but not much. I've had the three hour glucose tolerance test, and found out that I have hypoglycermia as well.

So thanks go out to Bret and to my friends, here in town, for all the help. For Bret: which, if I didn't read his interviews, I wouldn't have gotten the nerve to go and research what I was feeling, and for my friends, who are standing by my side, while I continue to fight with my doctor, to actually listen to me for once, and for helping me keep control of what I'm eating, etc.
