Here's another easy-to-build design from the board of Douglas Rolfe. Knock this little utility skiff together for a son or daughter, niece or nephew in a weekend or two for sailing, rowing, or even electric motoring on a small lake or pond. What a great gift this little boat and some exposure to nature would make for a kid! But don't forget to add a personal flotation device (PFD); something the boy pictured below obviously forgot. Of course, back then they were called lifejackets.
