Welcome to the workshop

Here are some photos and shop plans from the projects we've built on the Furniture Workshop TV show. Most of the projects we make are a variation of a Shaker design. The Shaker style is quite functional, has a timeless look and is often made from solid pine stock.
Hobbyist woodworkers will find Shaker designs easy to build while offering an
elegant look. And pine is a great material for beginning woodworkers, as it is a soft
wood and relatively inexpensive. Our show can be seen on several cable access stations scattered around Massachusetts. We film a new episode every six weeks in our shop in central Massachusetts.
This Month: Jim's Cedar Lined Trunk
Last Month: Finishing our Shaker Desk
As we build each project, we try to point out low-cost ways of getting things done. Most of our projects can be made with just a few tools, a couple weekends and a bit of imagination. The projects are usually selected based on whatever Jeff and I need for our own homes. But if you have a furniture project you’d like to see us tackle, feel free to send us an email.
