If you're tired of the strange looks you get whenever you ask people to pray for your sick pets, this website is for you! I began this site in December 1999, when my own dog was sick. Even though I belong to the prayer chain at my church, I felt awkward asking them to pray for my dog. So I decided that what we animal lovers need is our own special prayer line for sick or lost pets and their human families!
How does the Pet Prayer Line work?
Prayer requests are sent directly to our email address, PrayersForPets@aol.com
These requests are added to the Prayer List, which is updated and forwarded to all chain members approximately every week. To have an animal or person placed on our Prayer List, view our guidelines about submitting a prayer request.
Why are there people on the Prayer List?
Even though this prayer line was originally created to pray for animals in need, shortly after it began I started to receive prayer requests for people. Because I believe that no one in need of prayer - no matter what the species - should be turned away, I added a "people section" to our prayer list.
Who is on the Prayer Chain?
Our Prayer Chain consists of people who have agreed to pray daily for all the names on our list. Our chain is constantly growing, and we welcome new members. Though St. Francis of Assisi is our special patron, this is a non-denominational prayer line. A prayer is provided when you join; however, it is only a suggestion. You may say any prayer(s) you wish.
