WHO WE ARE
We are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered graduates of Taylor University who celebrate our stories of faith, perseverance and God's blessings on the road to self-acceptance. We have gathered annually at Taylor's Homecoming events since October 1999 to share stories of "coming out" and to imagine how we might build a network of support for other students and alumni/ae on this same journey.
Since then, our numbers have continued to grow as we reach out for fellowship and support. An emerging network of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender folk AND STRAIGHT SUPPORTERS have through these contacts created a space of testimony to God's faithfulness in our journeys.
WE WILL GATHER AGAIN ON OCTOBER 25-27, 2002 IN CONJUNCTION WITH HOMECOMING. Plans for our first workshop on the Bible and Sexuality are underway.

WHY ARE WE HERE?
We are here to build a new "Life Together" community, a community of seekers who share the joys of Taylor's vision and the disappointments of its practice in relation to its sexual minority community members.
We are here to witness to our wholeness as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people of faith. We celebrate our peace, given by the Creator, and put this peace into practice by accepting ourselves and one another.
We are here to witness to God's blessing and creativity in our lives, in and through our journey to self-understanding and the building of intimate, fulfilling relationships.
We are here to witness to the actual diversity of the Taylor Community, often obscured and even censored in efforts to maintain its "evangelical"
center. In the spirit of the Life Together Covenant, we will offer ministry to one another as we mature in the processes of spiritual growth and following Christ's footsteps.
