Eschatology: The Study of Last Things

"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand." (2Thessalonians 2:1-2

A brief explanation of what exactly eschatology is, the various views, and its importance to the believer.

In response to Christian apologist Dan Corner (of Evangelical Outreach) and his article entitled Pre-Trib Rapture Arguments Examined, I correct the common mistakes that post-tribulationists make when attempting to refute the pre-tribulation position.

The books of Colossians and Hebrews both tell us that the Torah contained shadows of what is to comes... especially in the "moedim" (appointed feasts) of the Lord.  This paper shows how the first resurrection was pictured in the Hebrew Scriptures and how it has already begun to take place.

Out of the literally thousands of good reasons to reject preterism, I have shown 3 which present serious problems for believers in this doctrine.  After familiarizing yourself with these objections, you too will rightly reject the eschatological error of preterism.

This is simply a list of questions to ask preterists.  If they can answer these questions honestly and in line with scripture then give the doctrine some consideration.  If not, then reject it based on the batter evidence.

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth Ministries holds to a literal hermeneutic and therefore believes in a future and imminent return of the Lord Jesus to catch away his Church, as well as the future fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.  I am opposed to the eschatological views of idealism, preterism, and historicism.

However, I feel that it is necessary to know what other views teach before being able to rightly reject them.  It's kind of like the person who says that they hate Chinese food while never having tried it.  Truthfully, they don't know how it tastes to know that they don't like it.  For this reason I will be presenting a list of various web sites which hold different eschatological views in hopes that the reader will examine each and find the view which aligns with scripture, and in turn align themselves with that view.

Please note that there will not be much in the way of postmillennialism or amillennialism as I have not come across many web sites which hold these views.  Those that do will be in the miscellaneous section.
