Choose 3 fabrics -- Light, Medium, Dark You will need:
Light fabric
-
Section A Cut 4 Squares -- 2 1/4"

Section E Cut 1 Rectangle - 1 5/8" x 4"
Medium fabric
-
Section B Cut 4 Rectangle - 2 1/4" x 4"
Dark fabric
-
Section C Cut 8 Squares 2 1/4"
-
Section D Cut 2 Rectangles - 1 5/8" x 4
Directions for sewing: (All seams are 1/4 ".)
**Pay close attention to the exploded block for placement of pieces.

Position a Dark Section C square, on the corner of a Medium Section B rectangle.
Draw a diagonal line on the dark Section C square. Stitch on the line. Trim
the seam allowance to 1/4 inch and press. Repeat this process at the opposite
corner of the rectangle. This will form the flying geese unit. Repeat this
process for the other 3 Medium Section B rectangles to make three more flying
geese units. See Block 8 for construction of
Flying Geese units.

Join a Dark Section D rectangle, to a Light Section E rectangle, then add
the last Dark Section D rectangle. This makes the center square unit.
Assembling the Block -- Check the block diagram often!!!!

Join a Light Section A square to a flying geese unit, then add another Light
Section A square.

Join a flying geese unit, to the middle square unit, then add another flying
geese unit.

Join a Light Section A square to a flying geese unit, then add another Light
Section A square.

Sew block's rows together.

Don't forget to sign and date this block in the light section of the center
square unit.
Yippee, Block Number 12 is now completed and done just in time for Christmas!
