The Pastor
		My name is Pastor Dave Brown. I have been saved by the precious Blood of Jesus for over 17 years now. I've been a minister for over 8 years. I have been a pastor of a church in Maryland and an assistant pastor of a church up near Delaware. I've been involved in jail ministries, missions, counseling, hospital ministries and nursing home ministries. I'm also an evangelist. I believe that you cannot minister to God's people unless you're willing to be on call 24 hours a day. As a minister I must be willing to put the calling that God has placed on my heart first -- then family, then myself. Also, it is so important to be willing to counsel God's loved ones and not just be wanting to preach. Preaching is great but there are times when people just need to talk. It seems that all preachers want to do these days is just preach. God knows how much I love to preach His blessed Word. But to be a good and complete minister of the Lord, we must be willing to take on all the other responsibilities that go along with the job. Teaching is another tool that I think is of the upmost importance. God's children must learn all parts of His blessed Word and everything that it involves, including the tricks of the Devil and the signs of the Lord's coming. Also, how can we minister to others if we don't know the Word of God ourselves. Most importantly I feel a minister of God must be willing to learn themselves and be willing to go the extra mile. These days are trying times, as the Lord warned us they would be. But God also told us that He would never leave us nor forsake us and He would go with us even to the end. My prayer for everyone is this: Come! Know Lord Jesus with all your heart. Learn His Word and follow it. Grow strong with the love He showed on the cross, and draw from the power of the Holy Ghost. If you have not given your life to the Lord Jesus, please do so this very moment. All you do is ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to come into your life.
