created in the 1920's by Joseph H. Pilates, the Method focuses on correct body alignment through neuromuscular retraining. With a series of precise movements, Pilates uses specially designed equipment to improve flexibility and strength, while heightening awareness of muscle function and control. Pilates is an effective form of exercise and rehabilitation that lengthens muscle, refines posture, and improves concentration. The Method is good for people of all ages and fitness levels, from teens to senior citizens, and can be used during and after pregnancy.

 Mary brings more than twenty years of dance and movement experience, from ballet to musical theatre, to Ragan Pilates. "I trained and worked for three years with Master teacher Peter Vaillancourt, in an exercise system that synergetically combines ballet, yoga, Pilates, and physical therapy. I have been a yoga practitioner for many years, and a singer since I was born. I truly understand the importance of correct breathing."

Eric is a 25-year veteran of the ballet world. "I dance for The Suzanne Farrell Ballet at the Kennedy Center and Dances Patrelle in New York, while I'm not working in our studio. I have been practicing and teaching Pilates for years. I also trained and worked with Master teacher Peter Vaillancourt. I am a dance instructor and yoga practitioner. I have experience in physical thearapy and massage. I bring all of this to my studio and clients. Movement is my passion and I have found through working on these machines you can increase your range of motion. Freedom from the confines of your self-defined restrictions. I want us all to play like children and not be restricted by our own bodies. Our studio can help people of all ages and physical levels feel better and enjoy life."

Take the 7 train to 45th Road Court Square exit to the right and walk half a block on 45th road to 21-39 45th road #2.
