WHAT AM I?

I  have four paws...
And long floppy ears...
A tiny cotton tail...
And two pink eyes.
I like to hide eggs...
At lest once a year...
And hop around everywhere!

What Am I?

(Answer : A Bunny Rabbit)

Bunnies Dream
Valerie Hardin

I wonder what bunnies dream about,
When they are resting in clover…
With their belly’s full of green?
Do they dream they are children in the garden…
Hunting for dyed eggs and hard candy wrapped in gold foil?
Do they dream they are angels with see-through wings…
floating through fog to catch water with nets;
So all the other bunnies will have something to drink?
Or, do they dream at all…
and see soft shade before their eyes?
What do bunnies feel each and every day?
Do they hurt or love?
Do they have a language,
that we cannot hear with our human ears?
A song without words?
A song without sound?

Write four things that bunnies dream of.

1.                    2.                    3.                    4.
NATURE STATES
by Bonnie Lee King

Have you ever noticed how January & February go rat-a-tat-tap into March with Maple syrup?

Or how April, May and June have spectacular moons?
Or why people like to fly in July?

And it seems August & September are for remembering the miss-spent days...so long ago of Spring and Summer.

Then comes October & November that explode in our mind's eye with multi-faceted hues. Crimson Reds, Lima-bean Green. Silver, Bright Yellow Gold to name but a few.

Then we are blown in December that I sometimes call the confectionary month. Because it's like someone shook a sifter loaded with white stuff all over the land. That's when it gilistens and we all seem to listen for Spring to come again.
SILLY SPRING THINGS
From Susan R. Higgins
My Green Sandwich

I like my sandwich to be very, very green,
With squishy green caterpillars in-between…
Two slices of bread, all green with mold,
And between my feet I’ll tightly hold…
My green sandwich up to my lips…
And eat it with my swamp frog dips.
Then I remember there is something rotten,
On my sandwich which I had forgotten…
To spread the grasshopper guts on first,
And get some green slime-aid for my thirst.

The Toad

A toad so bold sat on a mat.
Along the road came a juicy fat gnat.
Said the toad, so bold, who sat on the mat…
To the gnat, who was so juicy and fat…
Flip, slip,
Zip, Zip…
Wit, wat…
Zit, Zat
And he ate that gnat,
as quick at that.

A Bug in A Rug

I once had a bug.
He lived in my rug…
And his name was Ron,
But now he is gone.
I looked high and low,
But Ron was too slow…
He got under my shoe…
Now he is nothing but goo.

SPRING

Spring is here,
My sweet dear.

Birds do sing,
Because it’s spring.

Softly it rains,
On windowpanes.

Flowers are growing,
Lawns need mowing…

Children are playing,
Parents are saying…

Everything looks so green,
And smells so fresh and clean.
