Imperial Cotton Gin
This photo was taken in 1953 showing the Imperial Cotton Gin and the Visco Chemical Company. The scene is just west of the Imperial Sugar Company. I have been fortunate in being able to locate many historic photos of the area I am modeling.

About The Model
Here is the scene created from the photo. The building in the foreground had to be compressed somewhat to fit on the available real-estate. Most of the buildings are built out of styrene. The elevated tanks stand on scaffolding made of brass strip and wire. The tanks themselves are solid plastic stock that was cut to shape on a lathe.
