Grim's Rattery
My name is Donna, welcome to Grim's Rattery. A lot of people ask me about the name of my rattery so I thought I would explain briefly here. I named my rattery after the first male rat I bred,a Seal Point Siamese, his name is "Grim's Antonym". Grim passed away at the age of seven, June, 2008. Grim was our biggest rat ever and weighed in at 5 pounds 7 ounces. He was just as sweet as he was big. Rest in peace baby boy.

I started this rattery by myself, however my daughter Amanda has always shown an interest in learning about the genetics and everything there is to know about the rats here, and she is always right there offering to help take care of them. So I have decided to make her a partner in the rattery. She has shown very wise decisions in her breeding and has produced some exquisite litters.

Any rats that are purchased or adopted from our rattery are to be as pets only unless you are a reputable breeder. No rat from our rattery nor their offspring will be used as food, nor bred for food.

Our first and foremost goal in breeding is health and temperament. Color, Contour etc, is second. I'm a firm believer that the only reason an animal should be bred is to improve the breed. If you have any questions about my breeding ethics please contact me.

We are currently breeding Black Eyed Ivory, Black Eyed Himalayan, Himalayan, Black Eyed Siamese, Seal Point Siamese, Black Self,  Russian Blue, Burmese, Blue, Dwarf, English Irish, Down Unders, Masked, Rex, Harley, Hairless, Dumbo, Standard.
