About The Artist

Born near the North Carolina-Virginia border, he resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains. FLUTIST; ARTISAN; ORATOR, Running Deer has been a master flute maker for over 10 years. He has released a recording: SPIRIT'S SONG. He is a member of: The International Native American Flute Association (INAFA); The National Flute Association (NFA); The American Indian Inter-Tribal Cultural Organization (ATTICO); Friends of KITUWAH; High Country Art & Craft Guild; Wolf Song Lodge ; Eagle Voice Center. Running Deer is a past member of the National Native American Conference, he is a Veteran. His heritage is Tsalagi and Seneca. He is an enrolled tribal member. Awiadici is a spiritual man who keeps alive the Ceremonies of Native Peoples.
