Demijohn 11 - Reddish-amber cylinder, 15 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter (2 gallons), smooth base, applied and tooled lip, embossed on the shoulder "BFC", probably American, circa 1875. The initials BFC are unidentified.

Demijohn 14 - Black (olive-amber) glass, tapered cylinder, 19 inches tall, dip mold blown, smooth base, sheared lip with applied string rim, French, mid-1800s. This seems to be a "salamanazar" bottle with a capacity of 12 standard Burgundy or Champagne bottles, that is, 9.36 liters. (ref.: Van den Bossche, page 205, Plate 153.)

Demijohn 13a & b - Typical wickered demijohns from the mid-1800s. These bottles are 16 inches tall (2 gallons) and 10.5 inches tall (1 quart). Both have pontil-scarred bases.
