Annie Wheres Yer Gun    with Recuerdo
English Springer Spaniel
01.04.98 - 18.10.06
This is Annie, she is my fathers first dog in over twenty years. She is such a sweet tempered girl & so calm for a working Springer!
Born in 1998 she is the foundation bitch of the Recuerdo Affix & the reason i bought my own first dog - Sasha my Hungarian Vizsla girl.
Annie is famous for her kind eye & devotion to my Dad , they adore each other! We are very proud to have Annie with us & even more so of her working ability. She is very much in demand on our Shoots & is second to non when it comes to finding runners ( pricked birds ) An avid swimmer , Annie enjoys our walks around the local resevoir. She became a mum in February of 2002 to her only litter sired by Jake ( Oremark Ebony Imp ). Jake is also well known for his sweet temper , devotion to his Dad & good , steady working ability. Annie & Jake were a great match & also think a great deal of each other too! Infact , when Annies waters broke as she began to go into labour at midnight - Jake who lives over an hour away , began to howl. He woke everyone up at home & it took some time to calm him down! The puppies were just what we hoped for - they were healthy, strong , well boned , deep chested & had well constructed fronts - unlike so many working Springers. All but 2 of the pups went to working homes & we are pleased to report that they do thier jobs very well in deed. Two of the boys were a little more sensative to noise so we felt that they would be best in pet homes. Both of these boys are very happy too - they quater well & retrieve - but just for fun instead of for their living!
We kept Georgie Girl whom my mother picked & she is as easy to live with as Annie. She shows the same if not better ability in the field too!
As you can see by the face on her - Annie was not very impressed by Motherhood!
With heavy hearts we have to update Annie's page.
On the first day of the shooting season of 2006/7 Annie was suddenly & unexpectedly taken from us by a fatal heart attack. She was only 8 1/2 yrs old. Thankfully she did not suffer & was surrounded by her daughter & other canine family members when she left us peacefully.

Life will not be the same for us all & we miss her dreadfully but thank God for our time with such a special girl. 6 months after her passing, we still miss her desperately but in the next few months we hope to welcome her great grandchild into the family. This would ease our loss slightly. Hopefully we will have a new page on the website to celebrate this happy news.

SLEEP WELL GOLDEN GIRL.
Little did we know that 2006 would be the last Crufts we would proudly watch Annie & Dad exhibit in the Working ESS class. She was reserve (4th) in a good size class & Dad was so thrilled on doing even better than 2005 when they were V.H.C (5th).

2007 brought the Crufts schedule but it just wasn't going to be the same without our golden girl. As a family we decided not to show any of our dogs. Poor health for me was an issue but I knew Dad's heart wasn't in it without his special girl at his side.

Here is Georgie Girl with Annie, showing offer the reserve card.
