We take comfort in our happy memories of our dearest Rio who was saved from any suffering on the 7th July 2004.

Born on the 24.10.92 , Rio enjoyed success in the Show Ring from the very start. Pictured above winning Best Puppy in Show under Mrs M Holmes in 1993 , Rio won her way to a Junior Warrant , joint 6th place in the Enzyme Pick of Litter for her year with non other than one of her future husbands - Sh Ch Isara Kurzhaar Bootlegger JW - whom together produced my little girl Keigame Solitaire with Recuerdo. She gained her all important 3 Challenge Certificates along with reserve C.C's too & a Group 4 placing with her BOB.
Some 10yrs later Mrs Holmes was to award Pippa, daughter of Rio - now Sh Ch Keigame Voodoo JW her 2nd Challenge Certificate.
Just a few Green Star Points short of her Irish title & just one CACIB short of her International title Rio made way for the younger Keigames to be shown as their successes mounted. In a final bid to gain her few needed points , Rio made the trip to Dublin for her last appearence in the Irish Show Ring at St. Patricks Day show on the 17th March 2003. Sadly she did not gain those points as the judge seemed not to approve of Veterans in the ring.
Our journey that weekend was very memorable. Our prescious cargo comprised of Rio the oldest of 3 generations there , her daughter Pippa- Sh Ch Keigame Voodoo JW ( Thankfully Rio lived to see Pip gain her crown too) ,Pippa & Nya's father -Sh Ch Keigame the Equaliser JW , Nya herself, Rio's granddaughter -Recuerdo Higado Kharis , SH Ch Barleyarch Cricket at Keigame Sh CM JW - the son of her little brother & honoury family member - Choc Chip Cookie with Recuerdo ( Sasha )
We have many memories of our dearest Ri but that journey has to be one of our best! As we settled the dogs ,ready for the ferry crossing , we put Rio in charge of the front seats so she could lay out & relax in peace. On our return to the van , good old Ri had helped herself to 2 cartons of Tuna, Apple, Kidney Beans, Celery & Mayonaise. 2 Fresh Cream & Strawberry Merangues & a packet of Toffee Cheesecake Biscuits - nearly all our food for the trip!!!!!!
Bless her , she never even had the decency to be sick or have an upset tummy! She was sooo pleased with herself & we laughed & laughed at her smug face. For weeks after that trip , she demanded to be taken out for drives whenever Gill went anywhere. She leaves behind her father - Keigame High Falutin JW, or Flashman to famly & friends. Her newest Granddaughter - Keigame Prescious makes her debut in the ring at SWKC & we hope she does her proud.
Rio - a very , very special lady , a wonderful mum , grandma , a real gad about, a chatabox & one of the biggest charactors we have met.
Sleep well old Ri-ri , we love you & will miss you.............
