This is Fickó. He came home to us at 13 months old. From the moment he got into the vehicle he melted my heart all over again & I knew he'd not leave us for a second time. Life has never been the same since his return. What a loving boy he is & loves nothing more than to sit on your knee, paws around your neck, gazing into your eyes. His eyes speak volumes as they melt your heart.......'Oh, I do adore you!!!' they say to you. Everyone he knows simply can not resist him. And incase you were wondering? Nooooooo, of course I'm not biased!
He is the only boy in the house & has been shown lightly in the UK due to being gone for by other Vizslak in the show ring, which as you can appreciate, has unsettled him in that enviroment. However, he has not lost faith in all boy dogs & is more than happy to play with young, small dogs (some of his best friends are terriers) & calm larger breeds. Four of his best pals are Vizslak boy dogs & he enjoys time with them at their home without issue. It is so sad that he has been upset by some of the sharp temprements within his own breed & this is a sign of the times within the Vizsla world right now.
Fi is without a doubt a very sensative soul but he loves life & all around him here at home & out on our hilltop walks. His worry of being duffed up by other males has never stopped him wanting to greet all he meets so we continue to encourage him to play with sound tempered dogs we know & meet.
At 3 weeks old he was the one who would sit on your knee & want to love you , putting his paws around your neck - until Ázsun our Red Point Siamese appeared. He has always been a big fan of cat stalking & pointing! To watch Ázsun beat up a 5 stone Fi is rather amusing to say the least but he loves their time spent cat wrestling so who are we to stop them?! To this day, Fi adores children & babies & misses my nephew (who emigrated to New Zealand in 2006) greatly. To watch such a strong, well built dog have children go into his mouth to pull out the toy they are playing with, well, it's a lovely sight for sure & a tribute to his true nature - the nature of the Vizsla.
