Worship Ministries at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bartlesville, Oklahoma

*Advanced Band (Grades 5 - 12) - For all children in grades 5 -12. By audition only. ANY CHILD public, private or home school may participate. If they want to learn, we will teach them! Meets Thursdays at 4:30 pm in the education building starting on September 14. Low cost instrument rental is offered to members of this band.

Altar Guild Accepting High School through Adult members.This group divides into teams that makes sure our Altar area is ready to be used for worship. They pour the wine into the communion cups, prepare the bread, change the candles, dress the altar, change the colors, and keep our beautiful brass fixtures clean and bright. You are usually only responsible for either the 8:15 or 10:45 Sunday morning worship services one month out of the year.

Awakening Chorus Accepting High School through Adult members. Rehearses every Wednesday in the Sanctuary at 7:30 pm starting on September 6. This is the primary choir for our traditional 8:15 Sunday morning service. You don’t have to be able to read music to join. Requirements are a desire to serve Jesus and the ability to carry a tune.

Banner Ministry Accepting High School through Adult members. This group is for all those who like sewing and crafts. Help us create beautiful banners for all occasions. Make personal baptism banners for every child that gets baptized at Redeemer. Enjoy great fellowship.

Beginning Band (Grades 5-12) - For all children in grades 5 -12. ANY CHILD public, private or home school may participate. If they want to learn, we will teach them! Meets Tuesdays at 4:30 pm in the education building starting September 12. Low cost instrument rental is offered to members of this band. Special arrangements can be made for younger children.

Recorders (Grades 3 - up) For students in grades 1 - 4 who have had no musical experience or haven’t reached the physical ability to play a band instrument (still has baby teeth, lost front teeth, arms too short etc.). ANY CHILD public, private or home school may participate. Meets Mondays at 4:30 pm beginning September 11. In the education building.Special arrangements can be made for younger children.

Celebration Ringers All Ages. This handbell group rehearses every Monday at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center. This group performs at both Sunday morning services. Requirements are a desire to serve Jesus. The ability to read music, although not a requirement, is a plus.

Children’s Choir (Grades 1-4)- Children in grades 1-4 will have the time of their lives as they learn great worship songs plus good musical and basic worship skills. They will meet on Wednesday evenings during JAMM (probably from 6:30 - 7:00 pm.

Children’s Choir (Grades 5-8)- Children in grades 5-8 will have the time of their lives as they lean great worship songs plus good musical and more advanced worship skills. They will meet on Wednesday evenings during JAMM (Probably from 5:30 - 6:00 pm in the Worship Center.

Children’s Church Leader Accepting High School through adult. Lead a short learning session with young children during the 10:45 worship service. You are usually only responsible one month out of the year.

Concert Ministry Accepting all ages. Join the team that sets up Christian Concerts, events, etc., sponsored by Redeemer. Responsibilities include booking artists; arranging concert hall, housing, meals, etc.

Drama Ministry Open to anyone in grades 6 and up. Come and join a group of people who enjoy expressing God’s Word through drama. No experience necessary! We will teach you all that you need to know. Rehearses every Thursday at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary starting on September 21. Come and experience a new way to proclaim God’s Word!

Flower Ministry Accepting High School through Adult members. This group divides into teams that make sure our church has beautiful flower arrangements for worship. They order the flowers and arrange them on the altar.

Greeters Accepting members of any age. These people spend fifteen minutes before the service making sure that everyone gets a cheery “hello” before worship. Greeters are always looking for visitors who might not know anyone or know where to go. Greeters get to help these people feel comfortable. You are usually only responsible for Sunday morning worship services one month out of the year.

Intermediate Band By audition only. For those who have had at least one year of band experience and want to learn more. ANY CHILD public, private or home school may participate. If they want to learn, we will teach them! Meets Wednesdays at 4:30 pm in the education building beginning September 13.

Joyful Belles A children’s handbell choir! For Children elementary age through High School. Meets Tuesdays at 6:00 PM. The ability to read music, although not a requirement, is a plus.

Son Day Celebration Singers NEW NAME! Accepting High School through Adult members. Rehearses every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Lounge and then the Worship Center. They are the primary choir for our contemporary 10:45 Sunday morning service. You don’t have to be able to read music to join. Requirements are a desire to serve Jesus and the ability to carry a tune.

Keyboard Players Accepting all ages. People who play piano, organ, synthesizers, etc., are invited to be in this ministry. You could play for a choir, soloist, worship service, or a solo yourself!

Mime Ministry Open to anyone in grades 4 and up. This group communicates God’s Word through the silent motions of mime. Come and experience a new way to proclaim God’s Word!

Preschool Choir (3 Years - Kindergarten) - Join Miss Mary as she teaches wonderful songs about Jesus written just for preschoolers! They meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 - 5:30pm starting on September 27.

Scripture Readers Accepting all ages. Read God’s Word for worship services once every three months. Lead liturgy as needed and up to your comfort level.

Soloists God gives each congregation several people who can lead them in worship through performing vocal and instrumental solos. Training provided. Are you one of them?

Sounds Of Worship This group is for all of the instrumentalists in our church. They rehearse every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the Worship Center. Begins September 28. Participate in orchestras, bands, and smaller groups. Help enhance the worship services by playing your instrument to the Glory of God. EVERY instrument is needed. We have the music, lights, stands and chairs. All we need is you!

Sound People Of The Light You guessed it! This group is for all of those people who like to work with wires, knobs, and sliders. These people insist on making worship an experience to see and hear. Help run our soundboard, video screen, special lighting and effects projects.

Ushers Accepting High School through Adult members (both men and women). This group is responsible for the smooth running of the worship services. Responsibilities include: greeting, handing out bulletins, distributing and receiving the friendship books and offerings, attending to the special needs of the worshippers, I.E. hearing and sight impairments, wheelchairs, walkers. You are usually only responsible for either the 8:15 or 10:45 Sunday-morning worship services one-month out of the year.
