Launched 18 December 1944.
Commissioned 17 May 1945.

Decommisioned 16 May 1970.
Placed in the reseve fleet at Suisun Bay, California on 01 September 1971.
On 01 October 1976, Washburn's name was struck from the Navy list and was
sold for scrapping.
