What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, the devine life-giving force. It is a noninvasive, hands on form of energy tranfer. The hands of the Reiki practitioner are placed in specific patterens while the client lies fully clothed on a bodywork table. The practitioner acts as a channel for the Universal Life Energy through his/her hands into the body of the person being treated.
Reiki energy basically has five effects:
--Brings about deep relaxation
--Disolves ebergy blockages
--Detoxifies
--Supplies healing and universal life-force enegry
--Increases the vibrational frequency of the body
Reiki has many benefits, not the least of which is relaxation, making it an excellent means of combatting stress. Reiki can be a great form of balancing out your body as well as your mind. It seems to speed up our natural healing, especially after surgery and injuries. It also relieves pain, replenishes body energy and helps many physcial illnesses.
