The Rev. Roy A. Steward, Jr. Senior Pastor and President, Central Pennsylvania Evangelical Lutheran Ministerium and Geral Parish; and President of the ELCM. Use this link to access the Auto-Biographical Page.

The Picture that appears of me here was taken of me at the completion of my Eleventh year as an Ordained Pastor. In November 1998 the newspaper for our area took a photo of me to accompany the first sermon sermon to be published in the new expanded Religious section of our area paper. This more recent photo presents me as I looked at the beginning of my 25th year in the shepherding Office of Word and Sacrament. It can be viewed by those who access my Published Sermons area. The years have taken their toll but thanks be to God I still have some spring in my step.

      • Good order cannot be based, from my experience, upon personal relationships or feelings or emotions which are fickle and shifting. Needs that are based upon what we feel and desire are like shifting sand. Good order in the church and in life must be based upon clear and unemotional understandings (Constitution and Bylaws, written or verbal agreements which depend upon either unanimous consensus or large super majorities. These are in the best interest of lasting good order and true Justice in church as well as secular organizations )
