My paternal line begins with the surname SANDS, it also includes some of these names. ALSOBROOK, AVERY, BARHAM, BASS, BLACKMON, DANIEL, JOHNSTON, MOYE, PRATHER, PLEDGER, REEVES, SATTERWHITE, SMITH (2 lines), TRUITT, THOMPSON, WEAVER. and many others.
My maternal line begins with the name WING and includes EDMISTON, FOSTER, HULIT, LONG, PASCHALL, ROCKENBACH, SPILNER, STAFFORD, WHITE and many others.

Areas where my branch of the SANDS have resided since 1730 are as follows: Surry/Sussex counties of Virginia. Halifax, Edgecombe and Bertie counties of North Carolina. Jones and Harris counties in Georgia. Chambers county in Alabama. And scattered all over the USA
Other branches of the SANDS family moved from North Carolina to Tennessee and then on to Texas.
