ABOUT US
The Yakima Chapter of the International Footprint Association was chartered on July 8, 1961 with 25 members and was named the 38th chapter in the organization. Nine years later Yakima hosted the
National Convention of the Grand Chapter. Robert Madden, who was Chief of Police at that time was installed as the Grand President of The International Footprint Association. We have been an active chapter for 38 years.
During those 38 years our chapter has served the community in several ways. We have contributed to Search and Rescue, helped provide bullet proof vests for Police Reserve Officers, CB radios for both the Police and Sheriff's patrol cars. One of our community service programs is a program we started many years ago. It takes place on Christmas morning, when members of our chapter dress up as Santa Clauses and are transported in patrol cars by local Law Enforcement Departments,
to the homes of families whose main bread winner is incarcerated in the city or county jail. They bring toys for the kids and food baskets to those families that are in need. Over the years this program has helped to give Law Enforcement an image of helping instead of hurting those families.
