Update 33 - 9/28/02
Epilogue
We are saddened and sickened by the events of September 11. Our prayers are that the victims of this terrible act find comfort and closure.

This is the final "Broadcast" from our Free as the Wind tour. We have made many new friends in the last year and will keep you posted when we tour again.

Our lives are returning to the familiar routine. As expected, we overspent the budget so it's back to work to get the bills paid!

Did you notice that Bicycling Magazine rated Portland, Oregon as the #1 best place to cycle in the USA, again -- see the November 2001 issue. Our home is just across the Columbia River from Portland and we ride there often. Be sure to check with us when you come to the Northwest. We have plenty of space for guests and really enjoy showing visitors around our "corner" of the country.

What's next?

After fielding the often asked question, how are you going to get across the oceans when riding around the world, we've decided to sail!
Sailing lessons are happening in early 2004, and delivery of the new Hunter 44 is scheduled for fall, 2004.

Thanks for being a part of our wonderful journey!
See you on the road,

George and Sharon Miner

We are only limited by our ability to dream.........

"From the time I was nine until I was seventeen I spent most of
holidays bicycling on the Continent. This was the best education I
ever had, far better than schools. The more one circulates in his
travels the better citizen he becomes, not only of his own country
but of the world." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
