Here's the business end of one Bad Ass Trike. As it says on the back, it's just
4 - PLAY
You haven't lived untill youv'e been stroked by
"Sartwell Racing"
Let's start with a 1776cc VW engine and grab the grinder and clearance it for a
balanced stroker crank and pistons in some cleaned up Jugs.There's nothing like a big
set of Jugs to get your blood pumping in the right places.
Just for the Hell of it lets work it out to 2,275 cc's. A nice medium wild cam with 1.5:1
ratio rockers and overstock valves in a set of ported and polished heads exiting through a 4 into 1 Jet-Hot header sure help it breath
It's a hungry little sucker so lets feed it with an electric fuel pump dumping to a
set of 45mm DeLorto's. Lots of power coming at ya so I hooked it up to a bugpack
stage 2 hi-perf clutch and preasure plate with a lightened fly wheel and set of N50-15s
on a pair of Keystone deep dish classic Wheels. Gotta be able to shift it quick enough
to dust those small blocks, so I added a Gene Berg Pro shifter. It's tough to stear with
the front end in the air so I also added a set of Pro Comp spring loaded chrome plated
wheelie bars.It runs out to 7,000 rpm with ease and will go in the high 11's in the 1/4
mile.Outdamnstanding for a VW powered "Streetable" playtoy. It can cruise all day
long at 2500 to 3000 rpm with the Kenwood stereo cranked and the disc changer in
back adding some personal favorites. Prop up the feet and justkick back and enjoy. I
look forward to the occasional traffic light to watch the youngsters drool and then make
em eat my dust. Jap cars..forget about it!!!! Iroc's ..don't waste my time !!!..... 5.0

What's up next? Hmmm maybe a 9lb boost turbo with dual inner coolers fed by a
Holley 750cfm double pumper.....Might as well add wings while I'm at it !!!
