Here's a family
photo, taken in December 2001, showing all of our
children. Funny how, when we went half-way
around the world to get our youngest two, they fit
so easily into our lives. Their older brother (who
lives in Washington state) gets to see them at least
once every year, and their older sister, who lives
in nearby Virginia, visits every weekend. Sometimes,
she even offers to babysit. What a gal!

I'm sure you
can tell from the mischievious eyes and determined
grin that our little boy is a survivor, but he's a
lover as well. He was six when we adopted him and
speaking Russian like a pro, but he quickly
adjusted to English. Now, we can't get him to stop
talking!

Our daughter
and son, right after we brought him home from Kazakhstan.
As you can see, they fell in love immediately.
Just like all brothers and sisters, they have weathered
sibling rivalry and spats, but they are also quite
protective of each other. Now that's love.
