"I once was blind but now I see!"
Some people say
My head's in the clouds.
I don't look
To the left or the right,
For above the clouds
My eyes are fixed
Where there's always
A ray of His light
....................................................................................................
"I lift up my eyes to You, to You whose throne is in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord, our God, 'till He shows us His mercy." Psalm 123:1-2
..........................................................................................................
Don't let the clouds of life block your view of the
SON!

My Inspirations...
...are from God and dedicated to Dustin Hallahan, who, at 16, was called to be with the Lord after a long and brave fight against cancer. Many were deeply touched by Dustin's courage, strength, and most of all, his faith which far exceeded his tender years.
My first "God inspired" poem was written for Mark, Brenda, Josh, David and Mark Jr. after their beloved son and brother, Dustin, went to be with the Lord.
"A Letter From Home" was the first poem that came to me, quite suddenly, from the Lord, as a message from Dustin to his family. All of the other poems followed. Since then, I am thankful to the Lord because I have never labored over a poem - they simply come to me and through me.
..........................................................................................................
Dustin's verse:
"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:6-7
.........................................................................................................
I pray that I will be able to recite this verse when I am ready to "go home" to the Lord.

The Love That Awaits................................
Dangling in darkness, the world marched on by.
Others seemed happy, but I couldn't see why.
Alone in the universe, my tears were the stars.
"Oh, God, can't You hear me, wherever You are?"
...........................................................................................................
I didn't know then, that He held me and cried.
Since the day I was born, He had been at my side.
Some hearts never feel such pain as they cry,
"Oh, Lord, set me free, I just want to die!"
........................................................................................................
Hearts that are hardened, cynical, and cold,
Are nearly impossible for Our Lord to mold.
But a heart that is delicate, sweet, tender, and kind,
Will only keep aching as long as it's blind...
.........................................................................................................
To the love that awaits in the Lord Jesus' arms.
He's longing to hold you and keep you from harm.
When, finally, I knelt at the cross, I began,
To walk in His light and live in His plan.
.........................................................................................................
The darkness is gone, I'm no longer alone.
I'm filled with His love and I know I'm His own.
So, do not despair, when the world crashes in.
Just look to the cross and keep walking with Him.
........................................................................................................
Others do love you, friends, family, and strangers.
But, none love you more than the Babe in the manger.
He came so that we could see God as a man;
That we could reach out and take Love by the hand.

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him." 1 John

This poem was written for a middle school girl who had attempted suicide. I do not know her but I was moved to write this and send it to her through her school principle. He was almost fired for praying with her father..............................................
I place this poem first among the others because it is the story of my own life. As a teen, I was depressed and had thoughts of suicide to end the pain that I felt. At 16, I wrote:

The emptiness is vast.
The darkness is frightening.
Only my heartbeat can be heard through the silence.
Am I the only human in a world of smiling manaquins?
` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `
Empty. Dark. Silence. Alone. What was missing?

Now, I'm fulfilled, I feel the warmth of His Light, I always have a song in my heart, I'm never alone!...........................
"We know that we live in Him and He is us, because He has given us His Spirit." 1 John 4:13
