The Middle Jurassic is not well documented the prosaurapods seem to have been replaced by sauropods and the early forms of many dinosaurs develop. While the best finds come from China. Bathonian England had the therapod Megalosarus and sauropod Cetiosaurus. Later in the Callovian the finds include the therapod Eustreptospondylus, saurapods (Cetiosauriscus and Ornithopsis), stegosaur Lexovisaurus, ankylosaur Sarcolestes and the ornithopod Callovosaurus

Callovosaurus (callovian reptile) is known from a leg bone discovered in England. It is the earliest known member of the iguanodont family, members of which walked on their hind legs but descended to all fours when feeding.
