Torchon Lace Design
When designing lace patterns I like to use the 'What if...' method. This makes for some interesting features. I have several patterns ready for use and these are available from BIGGINS who also supply bobbins, pillows, threads and every other need for the lacemaker.

Work in progress and Work Completed
I have successfully completed a pattern for a baby dress made totally of torchon lace. It is built up from the bodice by a series of tiers with a bottom frill and a neck frill with a ribbon insert. I completed the dress with two tiers but if a longer dress is required it can be easily lengthened by the addition of extra tiers
The pattern is available
exclusively from Biggins and costs £8.00GB plus p&p.
If you would like a copy please buy from Biggins but any queries on the pattern can be made directly to me.

I have been reworking older patterns using the new Prescentia threads. These are beautiful threads imported by Biggins and gorgeous in the range of colours and types.
Another thing I have been working on is a series of templates for cardmakers. These consist of a paper template which is placed onto a blank card in the position required and the dots are carefully pricked. Using your choice of threads the pattern is then sewed onto the card through the holes which have been made. The picture on the right is a sample and other templates are shown on www.bigginslace.co.uk and all can be purchased from their secure site.
