"HERENCIA"
Awarded "Best Mural - 1st Place" - 1994 chalk it up festival

The title means, "Inheritance." The subjects are my grandfather holding my father as a child. It stands as a tribute to the legacy of my family and one of my favorites!

"ANGEL DE LA LIBERTAD"
Awarded "Best Mural - 2nd Place" - 1995 chalk it up festival
4' x 5.5' - chalk on canvas

This piece is another of my personal favorites primarily because of the impact it has had on people. While I do not consider myself a political artist, I think the message is a universal one. It is a call for freedom. Represented here as an angel perched above the island of Cuba, she has become frozen. Her broken wing and torn sash symbolize her plight which gives cause for a solitary tear to stream down her now stoney face. Mourning those that have lost their lives in pursuit of freedom.
