To the members of the Sambuca Club,
I am pleased to report that less than a year after I visited Sambuca
for the first time, with my sister and my daughter, in search of my
great-grandfather's (Giuseppe LaMarca's) birth certificate, I have
become an Italian citizen and a Sambucese. My passport arrived
June 18, 2005; my daughter and my sister plan to apply for theirs as soon as possible.
We thank Christine Maglio, Giuseppe Cacioppo, and the helpful and supportive members of the Sambuca Club.
Here are some pictures taken last summer by my daughter, Angela Campbell, in Sambuca and in the comune. My sister Christina Brucia is wearing a pink sweater and I am wearing a striped shirt.
