Patches was a surprise addition to our avairy. We got a call from Barb Long of Barb's Bird World telling us that someone had backed out of buying one of her pied babies. We told her we would buy her. When we went over to look at her, she was way different. After much research we have decided that she is a Jade Violet Pied/DB. She is very pretty and her violet & dark factor are intense -- she is no long very light, she almost looks like an Olive.
Chubby was a Valentine's Day gift for me in 2002. He was purchased from Flying Gems Avairy in MA. He acquired his name because as Gina was watching him grow he was always eating, and he still does! He is a WF Pied/Aus. Cinn..

Patches & Chubby have decided that against all wishes, they were going to nest. Patches had completely plucked Chubby's tail & some of his back and we decided to give them a box and maybe she would leave him alone. What is really funny to watch is Chubby try to chew & tuck material like Patches -- he's not so sure what to do! Patches & Chubby successful had 2 pied babies. They were beautiful.
