2008:
June 28: Library Day, 11:00 a..m.-3:00 p.m. The Historical Society video of
A journey by postcard from Crooked Lake to West Sand Lake will be shown. The Postcard DVDs and /videos;
the Sand Lake, and Sand Lake Revisited and The Wynantskill: a small stream but mighty books
all will be for sale. The Town Historian's office will be open.
July 3-6:Kiwanis Summerfest. The parade will step off Friday, July 4, at 10:00 a.m.sharp from the
Sand Lake School. Both the Sand Lake Historical Society and the 2012 Bicentennial will be featured in the parade
and will share a booth. DVDs and /videos of A journey by postcard from Crooked Lake to West Sand Lake; the
Sand Lake, and Sand Lake Revisited and The Wynantskill: a small stream but mighty books all
will be for sale. More

September 7: the Center for the Arts Sunday afternoon program will be a tour of area churches, co-sponsored
with the Sand Lake Historical Society and the Sand Lake Area Association of Churches.
September 9: our meeting will be a covered dish picnic at Barbara Neu and Ronald Berti's home, a.k.a. the
Knowlson House, on Schumann Road at 6:00 p.m.. Members of the Board of Trustees will bring desserts.
September 13: Antiques Appraisal Day at the Town Hall, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Appraisal Day will
also include an antique consignment sale, a document scanning service and light lunch. Experts will identify, describe
and give you a verbal evaluation for only $5 per item, 3 for $10.
