About Key Colony Beach
Key Colony Beach (KCB) is a small island city located at
mile marker 53.5 on the ocean side of Marathon. KCB was incorporated in 1957 and contains
285 acres, or 15 streets. KCB offers many unique amenities such as a nine-hole par 3
golf course, tennis courts, a playground, and parks, including one with ocean access via a small public beach off 12th St.
Our quaint city boasts a path for walking, jogging, biking and in-line skating for those who care to enjoy the
ocean breeze while exercising. There are three fine restaurants for dining. It is also fun to stop by the marina
to see daily catches by the numerous charter boats.
Just a short drive away across Vaca Cut is Marathon,
where there are several shopping centers, restaurants, and dive shops with charter
boats to the beautiful nearby reefs. For a fun day in Key
West, it is just over a hour away. Other nearby excursions include: the
Dolphin Research Center (MM 59),
Museums of Crane Point Hammock (MM 50), Pigeon
Key (MM 47), Bahia Honda State Park (MM 37) and the National Key Deer and
Great Heron Wildlife Refuge (MM 30.5). Other parks are featured at Florida State Parks;

About the Sand Dollar
The Sand Dollar is a lovely 4 bedroom/3 bath two-story pool home with 2 master suites, located at 230 14th Street in a quiet and exclusive area of Key Colony Beach.
It is a newer house with all the furnishings, amenities and comforts of home.
Main Floor
Living Room -- Dining Room -- Kitchen
The main floor has one master bedroom and bath with a queen bed;
a second bedroom with 2 twins; and a third bedroom with a king bed and easy chair for a quiet spot of reading. The living,
dining and kitchen area features cathedral ceilings and double french doors opening onto the porch overlooking the canal.
Being directly off of Vaca Cut (the pass between ocean and gulf), there is always some fish action. If you're lucky,
you may even spot a manatee or dolphin in the canal!


Upstairs is a private, second master suite which includes a bathroom/shower, king size bed and a balcony - with views of Vaca Cut, the ocean and magnificent sunsets!
The home features a gorgeous 32-foot fenced/locked pool overlooking the canal. Other amenities at the Sand Dollar include central A/C, washer/dryer, 3 TVs, DVD, VCR, stereo,
books/games, lounge chairs, porch/patio furniture and a BBQ grill. There is a 30 ft. wooden pier dock with electricity,
water, and a shower. From the 14th Street canal, there is immediate access to the ocean or gulf via Vaca Cut. Sunset Park is a lovely area with beach/ocean access for
swimming at the foot of 12th Street.
The Sand Dollar can be rented weekly or monthly. Rentals are for a one week minimum. The home rents for $3,000 per week (through 12/19/09) with a 25% discount
for 2 months or more plus 11.5% taxes; $750 security deposit is required. There is a $200 surcharge for holidays, mini-season and the first week of lobster season.
Pool heat can be provided at an additional charge. A discount may be available in the mid-Sept. to mid-Dec. time period (except the Thanksgiving holiday week). Contact us directly to inquire about the discount.
Please note, The Sand Dollar does not permit smoking inside the units, and pets are not allowed.
Maximum rental capacity is 8 people, including children.
