Q: What age groups are available?
A: Children who are 5-10 years old on July 31st of the season year may participate in the in-house program.
A: Youth who are 11-18 years old on July 31st of the season year may participate in the traveling program as teams are formed.
Q: Will my child play at their grade level?
A: All in-house children play with children in there own grade.
A: Traveling players will play at grade level unless MYSA rules say they are too old.
This causes problems only for players who are old for their grade.
Q: What teams are available?
A: Children 5-8 play in a co-rec in-house program.
A: Children 9 & 10 play on same sex teams and will have some games in Fridley.
A: Youth 11-18 play on same sex traveling teams. There is no in-house program at this age level.
Q: What cities do traveling teams play?
A: It all depends on what cities sign up with the MYSA. Games could be as far as Isanti/Cambridge or as close as Fridley. They are usually under 30 minutes away.
Q: What night will my child have practice?
A: There is no way to know. It is based upon the availability of fields & the coaches schedule.
Q: What night will my child have games?
A: There is no way to know. Games are based upon field & Official availability. There are no games on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.
Q: How long is the season?
A: In-house games are during June & July with practices usually starting mid to late May.
A: Traveling start mid may & go through June with play-offs in July. Practices usually start late April or early May.
