2001 Updates
A series of pages with photographs describing bench stripping of the Savage automatic pocket pistol. Although the example shown is a Model 1907 .32 caliber, the procedure is the same for Model 1907 .380s, and Model 1917 .32s and .380s. Field stripping procedures are similar for the Model 1915.
Photographic comparisons explaining some of the Type designations and terminology I use in discussing changes between variants in e-mail correspondence and discussing parts and repairs.
Periodically updated as to printed materials, advertising, etc. associated with Savage Pocket pistols I have for private sale. If you are looking for something, but don't see it - please send me an e-mail at Koch and we'll see what we can do.
Revised diagram with variant parts designated by number, with pricing. Although the example is a Model 1907, the parts are similar for Model 1917s and the text listings indicate a specific number for the Model 1917. Includes a link to a separate page and parts listing for the Model 1915s.
An updated list of available duplicates from my personal collection. This list can be the same for months and then change often in a period of a few weeks as I only sell off duplicates for which I upgrade a signature weapon in the collection, or is a lesser quality duplicate in a collection purchase. The list numbers are followed by a letter (i.e., Duplicate List 4F) to let you know if they are updated from your last. Beginning in 2002, it is intended to routinely distribute the list when updated to those formerly requesting it. If you do NOT want to be routinely sent the updated list, please indicate so in your e-mail. NRA & NAPCA discounts.
In response to Website inquiries, I have developed a range of historical/informational packages with a range of pricing to meet the needs of interested gun owners, collectors or those wishing to pass their weapon on to heirs.
From inexpensive articles, through rare out-of-print books, to modern paperback - a discussion of the limited amount of Savage literature and relative costs to obtain it.
Not actually a page, just a highlight of a work in progress. One of the great joys of Savage pistol collecting is also collecting the stories that go with them. These are too few ... too often the humorous, the odd and sometimes very sad details of life with The Banisher of Buglar Fear are lost to history. When I can, I record them, while preserving the anonymity of the owners. In 2003 I intend to publish here a series of Webpages highlighting up to a dozen or so pistols' stories from around the world. Please share yours with me.
This page is a photographic listing of the types of magazines observed with the Savage pocket pistols to help owners identify the proper magazine for their variant. Although linked elsewhere, I have had some e-mails say the link in AOL may be unstable and have republished it here.
