My legal practice focuses on helping people who have been charged with crimes. When I graduated from Law School, I began a criminal defense practice in Mobile, Alabama, handling serious felonies in State and Federal Courts. My first year there, I saw discrimination in the selection of the jury and challenged the Court system. I helped make new law in Alabama and put a stop to that type of injustice.
I returned home to Beaufort County South Carolina in 1991 and began my work with our Public Defender’s Office. For approximately 4 years, I handled hundreds of cases, covering every type of crime from D.U.I. to Murder. In 1995, I entered private practice. At my office on New Orleans Road, I try to help my fellow citizens, any time they have been arrested or their rights have been violated.
