About My Cartoons (push next to see punch line)
Many years ago I began drawing a cartoon strip for my home church bulletin. Meomiah is a first century Christian with a message. Most of his adventures are allegories; he meets characters with life's problems and presents solutions. Many problems are literal, such as, meeting a giant of pride, or trying to push a boulder out of life's pathway labeled "PROBLEM". Meomiah also has a band of devils assigned to him by "the Chief". Their orders are to destroy Meomiah's walk with the Lord at all costs, unless they chicken out!
Meomiah is a mixture of "Pilgrim's Progress" and "The Screwtape Letters" with a dash of "Looney Toons". My prayer is that these cartoons will instruct, admonish, bring salvation and maybe a giggle. I just want people to read this strip and "think"! "Meomiah First Century", the strip, is available for church bulletins, magazines, periodicals, and tabloids; please e-mail me if you would like to use it. Enjoy!
Love, Doug
