Greg Sarchet teaches at Northeastern Illinois University. NEIU is centrally-located in  Chicago and is the most economically viable option in the area, in state-of-the-art facilities with faculty from the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Email for more details. Private lessons/coachings are also available.

An ideal and immediate playing opportunity can be had by participating in The Classical Symphony Orchestra

Mike Hovnanian (CSO-french bow)and Greg Sarchet (Lyric Opera-german bow) stopped  teaching at Northwestern University until 2005. DaXun Xhang now teaches there. Visit http://www.daxunzhang.com

John Floeter, (Grant Park--French bow), now teaches at Northern Illinois University

Rob Kassinger (CSO-german bow) teaches at DePaul University School of Music.

Steve Lester, (CSO--german bow), and Michael Hovnanian (CSO--french bow) teach at Roosevelt University Chicago Musical College.

Petia Bagovska lives in Chicago now. Coaching with her would be invaluable. She is a former Petracchi student, and seasoned recitalist.

I have to highly recommend Tim Schaffer of Grant Park for private studies.

Jason Heath is highly recommended--he teaches at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.

Phil Serna would be anc excellent western suburban choice for a teacher.

Birch Creek is a great summer opportunity. Al Steiner (Curtis alum) teaches there.

Younger players may also be interested in The Midwest Young Artists Program, (Allan Dennis, bassist and director).
