Many organizations helped make a 1997 Chicago Artists International Program award possible, bring Miloslav Gajdoš, along with three of his pupils, (Miloslav Raisigl, Ludek Zakopal, and Jiri Valicek) to Chicago for an unforgettable time. We will always be grateful to the Merit Music Program, Hyatt Hotels, American String Teachers Association, and many individuals, who all saw purpose in this unique opportunity.
All of those who witnessed any of our activities have lasting memories.

A 1998 Chicago Artists International Program Award sent me with two (different) pupils to Great Britain for the British and International Bass Forum conference. Jeremy Miller, Chris Kreiling and I were fortunate enough to catch a renowned Proms Concert at Royal Albert Hall.

Jeremy Miller, now a senior at Northern Illinois University, is playing 'lead; to Radoš Šašina's continuo of the famous Eccles Sonata, (played from a photcopy of the original Violin Score). Jeremy is doing well, subbing in area orchestras, and practicing his tail off.
