Dale Gibbon Player Profile and Statistics
#22 Dale (Gibby) Gibbon
Dale Gibbon is 35 years old and and the General Manager of the Indians Hockey team, as well as a veteran player. "Gibby's" hockey career began in London, Ont. Canada as a 3 year old playing on the back yard rink built by his Dad (see picture below). One year later, he was playing full contact hockey and still today, remains one of the team's heavier hitters. At 6'1", 240 lbs, his size and aggressive style of play has always been more of an asset than his speed and finesse, however he's still a popular fan favorite with crunching hits. Dale played Junior hockey with the London Diamond's Junior B and short stints with the London Knights of the OHL and the University of Western Ontario Mustangs. Previous senior hockey experience included 8 years with the Exeter Mohawks of the OHA which included 2 provincial titles and two trips to the Hardy Cup Championships. Dale is in his 6th year with the Indians and still looking for a National Championship ring.

Dale is the owner of Advanced Rehabilitation Network, a Physical Rehabilitation Center with two offices in Tacoma. His wife Amy has been a solid supporter of Dale's hockey and presently has a new full time job taking care of their twin newborns. You'll probably see Dana and Carly at the rink. They'll be the ones wrapped in hockey blankets. Dale and Amy have recently begun to enjoy 4x4 wheeling. Check out the 4Runner web page featuring Dale's truck.

Here's little Gibby at 3 1/2 on the back yard rink in London, ON. Off to the first practice of the year in 1971, a balmy 80 degrees. Let's play hockey, even if he is only 5.
He scores? Nope, I think he's falling down. Christmas day 1969, yes I was 5. National holidays were no reason to stop playing hockey! Just got my new jersey for the season, with the Byron Optimist Club, 1971.
